Over the past 9 years as an entrepreneur I’ve slowly built my empire and made 4 million dollars and counting… The truth is, I’m not on a fast track to growth that it often seems many entrepreneurs get a first class ticket to. My path to the millionaire benchmark was in fact slow, but oh so sweet. In this episode I’m sharing my top four tips to reaching your version of wealth, and how you, too can build a business to build a beautiful life.
When you’re being true to yourself and your business (even when it’s scary), you will attract the right people and detract the right people.
Don’t play it small out of fear of what people will think of you.
Overworking & comparison can suck the energy and passion right out of you. Money and abundance only come when you are in your passion and not your exhaustion.
People get so used to the chaos that they’re in, they get comfortable with it.
Once you heal that and you no longer need to stay busy to feel useful, you have emptiness. Emptiness leads to stillness leads to presence, and presence leads to passion.
Chaos —> Emptiness —> Stillness —> Presence —> Passion
My timeline to my first one million dollar year was slower, but sweeter than a lot of other entrepreneurs. I didn’t make my first million until I was 44 years old.
Instead of spending my twenties and thirties hustling to get to that millionaire benchmark, I enjoyed traveling and beautiful experiences in over 53 countries while slowly building up my business over time.
Don’t be in such a rush to work your life away and miss out on enjoying the life you’re building for yourself.
You don’t know what it took another person to get to where they are.
Western culture focuses a lot on what we HAVE – whether it’s a fancy house or a skinny body – we are always assessing what we have compared to others. We also put too much importance on what we DO. Labeling yourself based on your job is not the path to wealth and happiness.
It’s only when you start BEING, that you become abundant. Who are you at the core? Who do you have to become to get where you want to go?
You need to start thinking about YOURSELF as the product, instead of what you do, and that starts with knowing your worth.
When you know a change needs to be made to get where you want to go, don’t hesitate. Here’s an excerpt from one of my favorite articles I love to read about once a week, written by Terry Rossio:
Life is short.
You think you know it. But you don’t act like you know it. And since you don’t act like you know it, it means you in fact don’t know it. Because if you did know it, you would go ahead and act like you knew it.
Here’s how you’re not acting like you know it.
You wait.
But you shouldn’t wait.
Not for anything.
Ever.
Commit these two words to heart, now:
Never wait.

The Play It Brave podcast is the one of the few podcasts I listen to every new episode. It’s inspirational and aspirational. That said, this was one of my top five favorite episodes.
I’ll download it; I need to hear it again. And again.
Thanks for sharing your brilliance and f bombs.
