The Truth About Engage! Summit

Engage! is taking the luxury wedding industry by storm, and some people aren’t that happy about it. In this episode, I’m giving you my take on Engage! and why I think many photographers are afraid of it. Hit play!

The luxury industry is equally romanticized and demonized. Mostly because people generally want what they see other people having, even if it’s not aligned with their true desires. Therein lies the depth of desire floating around the most luxurious even in the wedding industry.

Some people think Engage! is a scam because: 

• It’s too expensive. 
• It is unrelatable, and they don’t want to “pay to play”.
• It’s full of cliques. 
• It evokes fear that they will never make it to the top if they don’t go and network.
• It’s a fame game and some people don’t want to play it. 
• It’s too opulent, extravagant, over the top, bad for the environment, materialistic, etc.
• It’s too big to actually make connections. 
• It’s not a good investment for small businesses. 
• It feels like a big party they weren’t invited to.
• They feel like an outsider, like they can’t fit in or level up. 

But the truth about it is, attendees of Engage! are paying what their clients pay for a similar experience on their wedding day. So, no. Engage! is not a scam. 

I think Engage! is an incredible opportunity, here’s why:  

• It is powerful to be comfortable around luxury. You will repeal anything you’re not comfortable with, so if you are trying to attract luxury, Engage! is a great opportunity for you. 
• It is powerful for you to own your talented self and put yourself out there, do you feel like you belong at Engage!? Can you hold your own like Rebecca Welton in that room full of men?
• It’s amazing to give yourself that kind of experience, it’s such an experience and life is short, so why not.
• If you love parties and dressing up and giving yourself luxury experiences, you get ALL of that and get to meet people in your line of work. It’s genius. Allow yourself to WANT WHAT YOU WANT. 
• Engage! has an incredible standard of excellence. Showing up will open you up to a realm of possibilities for you and your business. 

Finally, if you want to be in the luxury market or you don’t, that’s okay. You don’t have to do anything you don’t desire to do.
