5 Self Love Rituals for a more Radiant Life

by D'Arcy Benincosa

In recognition of Women’s History Month, I am sharing my 5 self love rituals. I dive into why I have these rituals in my life and how you can do them yourself. If cultivating more self love is in your plans this year, hit play!

Over the past several hundred years we have disconnected from rituals as a society which has led us to becoming more fearful. Rituals have existed for centuries for a reason. They’ve been used to build strength, confidence, and to move through different phases of life. A major reason why rituals are important is because they help you nurture a better relationship with yourself, that then ripples out to the rest of the world.

5 Self-Love Rituals:

1. A day of silence

Every 3-4 months, honoring a day of silence to reset and recalibrate your life. Fasting, putting your phone on DND, escaping into nature, and building a fire are great ways to observe silence and clear your mind.

2. Breathwork

Breathwork has been scientifically proven to regulate the nervous system. It is a tool that can be used to create energy, reduce procrastination, calm the nervous system and create clarity.

3. Daily walks

Creating a daily ritual of walking outside gives your mind time to stop looking at a screen and feel more grounded.

4. Pleasure

Pleasure doesn’t always have to be sexual. Creating deep connections and being intimate with yourself is an incredible way to feel pleasure. Of course, orgasms are great and have incredible health benefits, but feeling pleasure and being connected with yourself is the most important thing you can do. Your relationships with others can only be as good as your relationship with yourself.

5. EFT Tapping

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and was created in the 1970’s. This form of therapy helps you release tension being held in the body. Since most things we hold in our mind are manifested in the body, this ritual helps to release them physically so that you can improve your mind.
