How to Partner with Wedding Planners

Teissia and Alia have been well known in the wedding industry, and they’ve been contacted by wedding photographers and vendors for partnerships quite a bit over the years. Before we dive into the nitty gritty of pivoting your business, they shared some key insights for vendors looking to form lasting relationships with planners.

• Make sure your work is representative of your talent
• Get more than just numerous styled shoots under your belt. Hands-on wedding experience is necessary!
• Have a distinct photography style or “Artistic Voice.” Make your shots more than just a checklist. Be inspired and take photos from your unique perspective.
• When reaching out to a planner, take the time to nurture a relationship with them before asking them for anything.
• Voice messages can go a long way in comparison to a DM or email.
• Start by working with other vendors who work with luxury planners.
• Do something that planners will take notice of. Maybe it’s an epic, unique shoot that gets a big publication.
• “Make room for magic.”

• Are you struggling to make ends meet with your current business plan?

Tips for Leaning into Your Intuition

When evaluating your business decisions and pivoting, it’s extremely important to lean into your intuition and listen to that inner voice of yours. Here are some of the great insights Teissia and Alia shared that might be able to help you on your journey to following your passions.

• Let go of the fear of loosing money. It will flow from other places that feel easier to you. (The Money Map could be a great resource for you if you struggle with this)
• The more you listen to your intuition, the more your intuition will reveal itself in your life and lead you down the right path.
• If you make space for your intuition, it will come up with the solution to solve your problems.
