1. Photographing with abandon

Elizabeth’s early career was a private exploration, an uncharted territory where she shot with abandon. Experimenting with different cameras and embracing the uncertain, she discovered the beauty in the process, whether it worked or not. This period of unbridled creativity laid the foundation for what would become a distinctive photographic style, and her continued use of photographing with abandon, still to this day!

2. College and Art School

Enrolling in art school marked a pivotal chapter in Elizabeth’s creative endeavors. Surrounded by like-minded individuals driven by the desire to be creators, she found solace in a community that valued wandering, capturing moments, and creating for the sheer pleasure of making. Though she didn’t graduate with the intention of pursuing photography professionally, art school profoundly called to her soul.

3. From Hobbyist to Professional

For a decade, Elizabeth reveled in her role as a hobbyist, doubling as a photojournalist and waitress. It wasn’t until a significant turning point, amidst the joys of motherhood, that she embarked on her first wedding photography venture. Little did she know, her career would evolve organically over the years, shaped by the ebbs and flows of life.

4. The Arte of Boudoir
