About Daniel Kim:

Daniel is a photographer who lives with his wife and daughter in the desert of Arizona. He doesn’t consider himself a wedding photographer. He considers himself a photographer, who happens to shoot weddings. After the shitshow of 2020 and how COVID-19 affected the wedding industry, Daniel was forced to step back and reflect on what he wanted for his life, and from there his life changed for the better. Now, he’s sharing his new perspective in hopes that it can change someone else’s life too.

How to boost creativity in your career:

• Creativity is cultivated with good boundaries.
• When trying to enhance your creativity, you have to physically put away the tools that are hindering it.
• Find clients that trust you to have full creative control. Don’t be afraid to say no to jobs that aren’t a good match for you.
• Be transparent with your clients what your priorities are.
• Reflect on your work and what brings you the most joy and curate your feed, website, and galleries that way.
• The more you can be yourself instead of fitting this mold you think you have to fit in, the more your ideal clients will find you.

A new idea of success:

• Ask yourself what kind of life you want, then create a career that supports that life.
• Allowing yourself to be wealthy in other ways than just financially.
• Look at what brings you joy and make more time for that.

How to make your dream life a reality:

• Don’t let your memories be greater than your dreams.
• You shouldn’t be trying to repeat anything in your life. This idea that you have to do the same or better than last year holds you back. Open up to the possibilities!
• If you really believe it, you’ll work for it. Faith and manifestation is nothing without work.
• You have to know who you are as a human first before you can move forward with a successful career
